Mennonite Spiritual Directors Network

Anyone from the Anabaptist Mennonite faith tradition who supports the ministry of spiritual direction may join the network.
In addition to trained spiritual directors in active ministry, this includes spiritual directors-in-training, those with training who are not currently offering direction. retired directors, and those who support this ministry in other ways.

Once logged in, members have access to:

  • their website user account to update password or email address
  • their MSDN Membership Database page, to keep their spiritual direction ministry information current
  • the Members List with information from all members of the Network — active, retired, students
  • application for listing in the Public List of available MSDN spiritual directors

After joining the Network, members may apply to be listed in the Public List of available MSDN spiritual directors, a resource for those seeking Anabaptist Mennonite spiritual directors. The application process includes submitting information about your training, references and an administrative fee. Being part of the Network does not guarantee inclusion on the Public List.

FAQ and Tips

  • I’m having trouble with Login. User Name is case and spacing sensitive; try using your email instead.
  • I’m still having trouble with Login. Are you using the email you gave us? If you have more than one email, try another one.
  • How do I access the Member privileges? Once you are logged in, they will be available in a dropdown menu under For Members.
  • I’m not seeing dropdown menus on any of the tabs in the navigation bar. Make sure your browser is up -to-date or try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
  • I’m not seeing the For Member dropdown menu. This list should be visible when you are logged in; if you are logged in but can’t see it, try using another browser.
  • What is my website user account? This user page has your basic data for logging in to the website and is where you can change your password, email address, or request a link to your Member Database page. Note that changing your email address on the website user page will not automatically change the Member Database information; request a link to your Member Database page using your old email and then update there.
  • I changed my email address and now I can’t login. Changing your email address on the Member Database page does not automatically change the email on your website user account. Login with your old email address and then change the email address on your user page by going to For Members/My Website Account.
  • Can I change my username? I don’t like the spacing. Unfortunately, no. Usernames were set when we entered everyone into the website and can’t be changed. The spacing probably is not what you yourself use, especially if you have more than a single first and last name. Try using your email to login instead.
  • What is my MSDN Member Database page? The Member Database page is the in-depth form with data about your spiritual direction ministry. If you were on the old MC USA Spiritual Directors list, much of your data is already entered, but should be verified. There are also a couple new fields to fill out. If you were in the Google group or are a new member, there will be more fields to fill in.
  • How do I get to my Member Database page? When you register and are accepted as a member of MSDN, you will receive a link that you can use to access your page and update your information. Can’t find it? See the next tip.
  • Help! I lost the link to my Member Database page. You can request it on your website user account page or by going to the For Members tab and finding Update My MSDN data in the dropdown menu. You will receive the link in your email.
  • I’ve updated my data on my Member Database page but it won’t let me save it. Have you filled in all the required fields? A list of missing required fields or other problems will show at the top of the form if it won’t let you save. There are a couple new fields that everyone will need to fill in the first time they update their form.
  • I’m still having trouble. Email contact@mennosdn.org for assistance. Our Member Database admins want to help! Just be aware that they are volunteers and may not be able to respond for a day or two.
