CELTIC PILGRIMAGE 2025
Come away on pilgrimage for refreshment and renewal to some of the world’s most beloved Celtic “thin places”.
This 2-week pilgrimage focuses on Celtic Christian spirituality as experienced through the stories of Celtic Christians living on the Isle of Iona (Scotland) and at Holy Island Lindisfarne (England). We will be following the path of Celtic monks from Iona to Melrose to Holy Island, pondering how their stories guide and inspire us today.
During this pilgrimage, there will be significant times for personal solitude and reflection, group sharing, guided walks, morning/evening prayers, worship, soulful wandering, speakers and the occasional museum. Persons will want to be physically fit enough to carry one’s own gear during travel, as well as walk up to a couple of miles a day, possibly in the rain. Solo travelers will be assigned to share a twin room for 4 nights. All other nights everyone has individual rooms. All participants must be covid vaccinated and boosted.
We hope to hold the costs for 15 days, not including airfare going or coming, to $5000 per person (based on $1.30 per pound exchange rate.) This may need to adjust. Final rate to be determined January 2025.
