East Coast MSDN Retreat Planning Committee invites you to an online Retreat Day, June 4, 2022. Our presenter is Dr. Mary L. Jones Wade, who will guide our prayer by focusing on the life and writings of Howard Thurman. We hope you will join us. This special day is open to the entire MSDN. Dr. Mary L. Jones Wade is a minister, author, public speaker and poet, counselor and coach. She has served as the Quaker United Nations Representative where her major areas of focus included Southern Africa with an emphasis on Aparthied, Central America, and the UN Human Rights Covenants. Mary has founded four organizations including the Family Unity Organization in Philadelphia and Dayton, Ohio; Light Messenger, Building Respect in Community (BRIC), and The Thurman Group. Her dissertation was Spirituality and Conflict Resolution: A Study of the Life, Practices and Teachings of Dr. Howard Thurman. She also wrote, Can You See Me Now? Poems, Prayers for Trayvon Benjamin Martin. Mary’s motto is “With God, all things are possible.” “To God be the glory”

The planning committee for the Great Lakes MSD has cancelled the retreat scheduled for April 22-23 due to low registrations.

We hope for a future retreat and will update the community of those plans.
